and Mitchells and would offer world class wines in beautiful
surroundings.
Within easy reach are the Monastic Sevenhill Cellars, Penwortham is home to Pearsons, Watervale to the historic Quelltaler/ Annies Lane, as well as Stephen John, Crabtrees and Olssons, further south are Claymore, Clos Clare, O’Leary Walker, Tim Gramp, Grossets, MtHorrocks and Taylors in Auburn.
On the way to Mintaro call in at Pauletts, Wilsons, Pikes, Reilly's, Mintaro Cellars. Head to Clare for Tim Adams, Kirrihill, Knappstein Wines and beer, MtSurmon, Leasingham, Greg Cooley, Cardinham, Phoenix or Jim Barry. New cellar doors appear regularly. Martindale Hall - the ultimate bachelor pad in the grand English style. An absolute must to visit. This was the house used as the school in "Picnic at Hanging Rock".Mintaro Village is a major historical settlement, well worth a stroll. Explore the Maze or call in to the historic Magpie and Stump Hotel.
The Riesling trail follows the old rail line from Clare to Auburn, cycle to your favourite wineries or enjoy a ramble. The Rattler cycle trail has been extended to Riverton. Wining and Dining
Skillogalee is close, a pleasant walk best done in daylight, a delightful setting, fine wines and good food.Sevenhill Hotel offers a good range of pub grub, superb collection of Clare Valley wines in the cellar and a good local pub atmosphere.

The Artizan's Tableoffers better than bar food as well as top restaurant meals.
Chinese food is available at the Clare Dragon in Clare, an excellent Chinese, also the Asian Kitchen next door. Takeaway is available.
The pubs in Clare all offer good food, the Central pub has probably the best range of the three. Bentleys has been recently renovated and can be recommended. The Taminga has also had a major makeover.
